The LOESS Collection
At present, we produce five different wines, three reds under the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, and two whites from the
Rueda Designation of Origin.
Ribera del Duero
Our red wines are made from
Tempranillo grapes selected at our vineyards and aged between 7 and 24 months in premium oak barrels, depending on each specific wine's structure in each vintage.
Among our red wines from Ribera del Duero,
LOESS Blue Cap is labelled crianza, while
LOESS Collection and
LOESS Inspiration
are labelled generically, with no official roble or reserva aging statement. That is because we decide how long the wines need to be in barrel and bottle, based on the specific characteristics of each grape and vintage.
Rueda
Our two white wines are made using the variety Verdejo from two of our select vineyards located in Rueda.
Both white wines are kept on fine lees for some months after their alcoholic fermentation. The young
LOESS Rueda is fermented in stainless steel and
LOESS Collection Rueda in French oak barrels.
LOESS Inspiration
LOESS Inspiration is the youngest wine in our range and is the result of a flash of inspiration during a tasting session. While searching for the ideal blend for LOESS Crianza 2012, certain barrels were combined, and this beautifully favoured wine was discovered.
Intense and youthful, this wine is full of nuances and complexity with notes of fruit, balsamic and toasted oak.
IIt ages in premium oak barrels for around 9 months, and is considered a high-end red wine.

LOESS Collection Ribera del Duero
This is our most celebrated wine. It's made with grapes selected from three of our best vineyards based on their analytical and tasting parameters. We use this information to determine the optimal time to harvest, carefully selecting only the best grapes.
Clean, powerful and complex, this wine is a balanced mixture of outstanding elegance which takes you through a journey from start to finish. With notes of balsamic and black fruits, It is very persistent, fruity, balanced, and can easily last lifetimes.
The grapes come from our vineyards on the Corderilla, Carravalcavado 2 and Carraboada 2 estates. These vineyards only yield between 3,000 and 5,000 kg/ha.

LOESS Ribera del Duero
LOESS Blue Cap, equivalent to a crianza wine, is a fresh and aromatic wine, with structure, sweetness and a persistent flavour. It is full of bright aromas like wild fruit (red and black), vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon and coffee.
The wine undergoes an alcoholic fermentation process in stainless steel, and it is transferred to new premium French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation. It is aged for more than twelve months.

LOESS Collection Rueda
This white wine comes from a superb vineyard planted in 1936 in Nava del Rey, Valladolid.
Bright, fresh, complex and explosive, this wine is full of floral aromas with notes of tropical fruits. It is voluptuous, but at the same time it has a balanced acidity that will give it long life and freshness. Very persistent in the mouth and with a slight bitter nuance at the end, typical of the variety.
The must ferments in new French oak barrels, where the wine is later kept on fine lees for around six months.

LOESS Rueda
This wine is made from a vineyard that was planted in 1998, located in the municipality of Rueda.
Bright and intensely yellow with sparkling glimmers of green, we absolutely love this fresh white wine from our vineyards in Rueda.
